about me
I'm an engineer, a barrister and an academic with a career spanning consultancy, operational and teaching roles in commercial and public organisations. I teach and research enterprise information systems, legal and ethical aspects of computing, and IT and digital history.
I hold a degree in Engineering from Trinity College, Dublin and a PhD in Information Systems from the University of London. I also hold a Master's in Law (LLM) from the London School of Economics.
I'm currently employed as Professor of IT Governance and Management at the International University of Applied Sciences in Germany, where I lecture on digital technology, management of IT in corporations, IT governance and compliance, IT regulation and law, and change in organizations. I'm also a lecturer at the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at Birkbeck College, University of London.
